The Belarusian player finished the year with an outstanding twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive year.

The 27-year-old captured four titles – the most on tour – including successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles title.

A Season of High Performance

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka played in a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she became the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka finished the season with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and collected a historic £11m in earnings.

She received nearly 80% of the votes cast by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a new level".
